Humanitarian and medical aid organised by Medecins Sans Frontieres is being loaded onto the Greenpeace flagship, Rainbow Warrior. The shipment of mainly medical supplies and food is on its way to Meulaboh on the west coast of Aceh province. Shipments by sea are essential at this moment as most land access to areas in the west coast of Aceh is severely damaged by the tsunami disaster. More than 50 percent of Meulaboh was devastated by the December 26, 2004 earthquake and tsunami waves that hit most coastal areas and islands in the Indian Ocean.
