Marine Reserves Human Banner in Taiwan

In 2011 the Oceans Defenders Tour in East Asia took the Greenpeace's legendary flagship Rainbow Warrior to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea to campaign for the protection of our oceans and depleted marine species such as tuna. During the tour, Greenpeace called on governments to support the creation of marine reserves

In 2011 more than 100 hundred volunteers participated in a Greenpeace-organized human art activity. They composed the words "Marine Reserves Now" in Chinese on Baisha beach, Kenting National Park, Taiwan. Greenpeace is campaigning for Taiwanese support for the creation of international marine reserves in Western and Central Pacific ocean. © Paul Hilton
